I know that the challenge isn't officially posted yet, but this seemed like a good day to reexplore the digital projector and laptop, so I'm working from the November 11th email describing the next challenge.
I haven't used the projector and laptop in several months, so a review was needed. We have a nice page of instructions from the branch to work from, but my ultimate goal today was to be able to setup the laptop and projector together without the cheat sheet.
After first setting it up and then taking it apart with the cheat sheet and the help of Bill Ringer, I was now ready to set up the laptop projector combo again, but this time without the directions.
Much to my surprise I was able to set it up without the instructions and do my presentation in the reference area. The presentation was created by Paul Zubritzky for a branch staff meeting last year. It involved a slide show of which doors to use to exit the building depending on where the fire might be on either the first or second floors.
Everything went smoothly and I was able to pack it up after the presentation. I'm going to try setting it up again tomorrow to reinforce what I learned today.
