Library 2.0 - Thing 15 - My Perspective

Away from icebergs, Into a new world of librarianship and to more powerful ways to cooperate were the three opinions that I read. I liked what Rick Anderson wrote in the Away from Icebergs opinion when it concluded with a call for us to shift the direction of our profession and provide library services to our customers in the medium of their choosing. I also like the Michael Stephen's idea of a library that allows its users access from many points outside of the physical building as well as from within as expressed in Into the new world of librarianship. When I have more time I am going to read all of the opinions. I think when it comes to Library 2.0 we will need a combination of the ideas voiced in the various opinions listed.
